Emilia works in Cerac since October 2010 doing her practice during which she was dedicated mainly to co-write a chapter in a book about the prospects of peace talks with the ELN. Since April 2011, Emilia is reserarcher, responsible for the development of new research on transitional processes.
Her main areas of interest are conflict transformation and peace processes in protracted conflict from the perspective of critical theory and post-colonial theory, reconstruction of relations between the state and civil society in the context of an order hybrid political and development of mechanisms for empowerment and emancipation of marginalized groups in the peace process. Methodologically is mainly oriented to qualitative methods, including focus groups and participatory action research.
Currently, Emilia is coordinating the work of developing the new website CERAC and is also responsible for the translation and contextualization of information leaflets on SALW Survey for Small Armey.
