At CERAC, Juan David has participated in the work related to the research programs Measuring violence and conflict and Analysis of conflict and political violence. He has developed research on issues such as the Colombian conflict, violence against members of the labor union and violence associated with the drug trafficking. In addition, he has researched the issue of factors that impinge on the criminal offence of female convicts in Colombia.
Other areas of interest include the methods for quantification of social phenomena, public security policy and the analysis of data from violent contexts.
