Ryan Woodard is a Complexity Scientist at the British Antarctic Survey in Cambridge, UK. He completed his Ph.D. in physics at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where he studied complex systems and plasma physics. His research includes studies of conflict and cooperation events; the Earth's ice sheets and glaciers as examples of complex systems; confined plasmas and self-organized criticality.
